I just wanna do a correction in my last message. 
The channel structure of VCCN1 that I pointed is a homopentamer. The MW recorded (43 kDa) is for 1 subunit, so this actually 210 kDA.

In this review, is reported that for some proteins under 100 kDa, nanodiscs could be very useful to overcome size-related limitations in the application of cryo-EM SPA for smaller proteins.
