[3dem] "Practical Cryo-EM" boot camp

Hello everyone,
I am running an intensive one-week "boot camp" January 12-16 titled "Practical cryo-electron microscopy" in Piscataway, New Jersey. This course mainly consists of hands-on small-group activities in TEM alignment, data collection, vitrification, reconstruction, modeling etc and emphasizes practical skills for using field-standard instrumentation (such as the Krios cryo-TEM) and techniques. Prior hands-on experience with cryo-EM is not required but participants should do background reading to understand the theoretical basis for the techniques they will practice during the course.
Most recipients of this mailing list are, of course, experienced electron microscopists, but I ask that you pass this information on to your colleagues, students, and associates that may benefit from such training. I am hoping that we will have a good mix of participants from the private sector, from academic and research institutions, and intramural participants here at Rutgers. Students in a degree program can benefit from significantly reduced cost of participation.
This is the second year in a row we're running this course but I don't expect to offer it again next year as our institute boot camps rotate topics from time to time, so now's your chance!
