I am running an intensive one-week "boot camp" January 12-16 titled "Practical cryo-electron microscopy" in Piscataway, New Jersey. This course mainly consists of hands-on small-group activities in TEM alignment, data collection, vitrification, reconstruction,
modeling etc and emphasizes practical skills for using field-standard instrumentation (such as the Krios cryo-TEM) and techniques. Prior hands-on experience with cryo-EM is not required but participants should do background reading to understand the theoretical
basis for the techniques they will practice during the course.</div>

Most recipients of this mailing list are, of course, experienced electron microscopists, but I ask that you pass this information on to your colleagues, students, and associates that may benefit from such training. I am hoping that we will have a good mix of
participants from the private sector, from academic and research institutions, and intramural participants here at Rutgers. Students in a degree program can benefit from significantly reduced cost of participation.</div>
