[3dem] Postdoctoral Positions in the Frank Lab, Columbia University

Postdoc openings are available immediately in the Laboratory of Dr. Joachim Frank, Columbia University, for the following projects: (1) cryo-EM  studies of canonical and IRES-mediated eukaryotic ribosome initiation; (2) further development and biological applications of time-resolved cryo-EM; (3) mapping of energy landscapes of molecular machines.  Background is required in at least two of the following areas: Biochemistry, Cryo-EM, Physics, and Math/Computer Science.  The cryo-EM Core Facility at Columbia comprises a Polara, an F20, and a Krios with phase plate and energy filter, all equipped with K2 Summit cameras.  Three additional Krios microscopes will be operational starting in the fall of 2018.
