<div>Postdoc openings are available immediately in the Laboratory of Dr. Joachim Frank, Columbia University, for the following projects: (1) cryo-EM studies of canonical and IRES-mediated eukaryotic ribosome initiation; (2) further development and biological
applications of time-resolved cryo-EM; (3) mapping of energy landscapes of molecular machines. Background is required in at least two of the following areas: Biochemistry, Cryo-EM, Physics, and Math/Computer Science. The cryo-EM Core Facility at Columbia
comprises a Polara, an F20, and a Krios with phase plate and energy filter, all equipped with K2 Summit cameras. Three additional Krios microscopes will be operational starting in the fall of 2018. Please send CV, statement of research interest, and the names
