Happy New Year everyone,

I wanted to reach out with a question regarding Cytiva purification columns to see if any of you have experienced a similar issue with your equipment.

In our lab, we've encountered a recurring problem where several Superdex 200 Increase 3.2/300 columns have broken spontaneously at the same location (exit position, look at the attached images). This has occurred under various circumstances: some while in use, others during storage without use, and, incredibly, even a few straight out of the box after purchase.

We’ve contacted Cytiva, but they’ve responded that their equipment is in good condition.
I’m curious to know if anyone else has faced similar problems with these columns and, if so, what measures you’ve taken to address or prevent this issue.

I’d appreciate any insights or advice you can offer.

Best regards,
Juan
