[3dem] Vibrations with cryo-holders

Dear all,

Just a quick update since we solved the problem, a big thank to Matthias Stumpf from Simple Origin for his help.

The answer was a sound coming from the fans of the Power Supply of the microscope at a frequency of 393 Hz, see image below (the dotted line in the temporal FFT). This was recorded on my cell phone (Android) with the Spectroid app (unsure it is available for iPhones …). 

Hope this can be helpful for the few dinosaurs (as me) who still use side-entry cryo-electron microscopes ;-)
