Title: Postdoctoral researcher position in biochemistry and electron microscopy, Marseille, France


A full-time, 24 months post-doctoral position is available for a structural biochemist in team “Structural Glycobiology and Neurobiology” of the “Architecture et Fonction des Macromolécules Biologiques (AFMB)” laboratory, Marseille, France. AFMB has recently acquired state-of-art Glacios 2 TEM 200kV equipped with Selectris X EF and Falcon 4i camera that will be used for the project.

The project main scope is to study the binding site, the orientation and the mode of action of new peptidic effectors of a pentameric ligand-gated ionic channel by cryo-EM and complementary biophysical methods.

Strong experience in protein expression and purification, biophysical characterization, structural analysis and electron microscopy are mandatory.

The position opens on November 01, 2023
