I've managed with stiff tweezers, and two parts of decisiveness (good call Ruben). Do make sure to clear the table first.

Hi Bob,

This is a common problem with our holder, but it is easily correctible with some pointed pliers to bend the wires that connect the clamping mechanism to the holder. All you need is some decisiveness, as these things can smell the fear and then the ring at the tip ends up flying and resting at the most inaccessible corner under the microscope (invariably). Good luck!

Ruben.

Hi All,
We have a standard room temperature holder for our TFS Spirit with a fly swatter type grid clamping system. The grid seems loose and slides around. Have any of you experienced this and were able to make an adjustment to the clamping force? I figured I would be best to ask before I try bending the clamp and break it😉. Thank you in advance.
Bob
