[3dem] Cryo-EM specialist position

The Institute of Anatomy of the University of Bern is looking for a talented and highly motivated cryo-EM specialist to join us at the cryo-EM center of the University of Bern. The center is located at the Institute of Anatomy of the Medical Faculty and is part of the Interfaculty Microscopy Imaging Center of the University and of the Dubochet Center for Imaging.


A Titan Krios G4 with cold-FEG, Selectris energy filter and Falcon 4EC detector, as well as an Aquilos2 with integrated fluorescence microscope and lift out system are currently being setup, complementing present TEM and SEM instruments as well as equipment for sample preparation including high-pressure freezing.


The cryo-EM specialist will support users and participate in method development.


Bern is the capital of Switzerland and offers a high quality of life. World famous ski and mountaineering resorts are within one hour's travel.
