Two positions for PhD students are available in the recently established Roderer Lab at the Leibniz Institute of Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin, Germany.
We want to understand the molecular mechanism of the influence of the human intestinal microbiome on the onset and progression of inflammatory diseases and cancer.
The EM facility at the Campus Berlin Buch is located next to the FMP and hosts a Titan Krios EM with a phase plate, a K3 direct electron detector and an energy filter as well as an Aquilos FIB-SEM. In addition, a Talos L120C EM is available for screening, and a Glacios EM will be obtained in the following years.
We are looking for highly motivated and talented graduate students who are enthusiastic to perform research in an outstanding and vibrant scientific environment. A master degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics or a related subject with excellent grades is required, as well as profound experience in protein biochemistry or electron microscopy.
