<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Two positions for PhD students are available in the recently established Roderer Lab at the Leibniz Institute of Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin, Germany.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">We want to understand the molecular mechanism of the influence of the human intestinal microbiome on the onset and progression of inflammatory diseases and cancer.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">The EM facility at the Campus Berlin Buch is located next to the FMP and hosts a Titan Krios EM with a phase plate, a K3 direct electron detector and an energy filter as well as an Aquilos FIB-SEM.
In addition, a Talos L120C EM is available for screening, and a Glacios EM will be obtained in the following years.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">We are looking for highly motivated and talented graduate students who are enthusiastic to perform research in an outstanding and vibrant scientific environment. A master degree in Biochemistry,
Biophysics, Physics or a related subject with excellent grades is required, as well as profound experience in protein biochemistry or electron microscopy.
