[3dem] Filter paper cutter/puncher for Vitrobot

We have two made by a machine shop.  One can cut a larger piece of filter paper to the 55 mm diameter.  The second will cut a 55-mm diameter piece, putting the small hole in the center.  Besides saving money, these devices (homemade or commercial) allow one to easily use different types of filter paper.  And, I don’t have to buy 55-mm size first.

In the past, we had an on campus machine shop make one but it wasn’t sharp enough to cut cleanly or easily.

Dear list,

We've been using commercially available filter paper for our Vitrobot. Given the cost of this consumable (5-10x the cost of Whatman filter paper 595), I am wondering whether anyone can recommend a paper cutter/puncher that can make some from filter paper sheet. I seem to remember the Gatan CP3 comes with one (if I'm not wrong, long time no see)...

Any advice?
