Dear Colleagues

Louise Fairall and the Protex facility here at Leicester have made a construct of Human H chain Ferritin with a TEV cleavable GST tag. We (and others) have used protein expressed from this plasmid for purposes of testing our microscopes and have obtained maps in the 2.1Å range. Its also handy for training purposes and teaching newcomers how to make good grids. If anybody would like a few microliters of this plasmid we will be happy to provide some. Please email me and we can arrange a way to send it to you along with the expression and purification details. Purification is straight forward involving binding to GST resin, TEV cleavage and an S-200 SEC column.

Best wishes
