Hm - since we already have a Falcon 2, we could upgrade to the 3 more cheaply than getting a K2.

We could get a 3 and phase plates and pay their service contracts or get a K2 and no phase plates and struggle with the service.

Would you pick K2 alone? Or Falcon 3 plus phase plates?

We have a lot of smaller proteins so the phase plates seem like a good idea, but I do hear a lot of grumbling about phase plates as well.
