Dear 3DEM members and Dr. DeRosier,
It is indeed an unwanted turn of events affecting al of us.

While I was in Dr. Frank's lab I did attend a meeting that was done
worldwide via internet. Joachim presented in it. If I remember correctly
it was organized by NASA.

https://nai.nasa.gov/seminars/featured-seminar-channels/conferences-and-workshops/2011/4/1/the-ribosome-structure-function-evolution/

It was a delightful experience and we all could pose questions and listen
to the wonderful talks from comfort of our home or lab.

Many of us from different countries who are currently in USA is limited by
visa restrictions as well as low funding in many labs, to even allow us to
attend such important conferences.

Being an aspiring EM scientist I really support the conference without
boundaries utilizing the internet. That itself supports the idea of science
being without boundaries and dogma.
Thanks,
Sanchaita
