Postdoctoral positions are available in the Wensel laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. Projects are available in multiple areas, including single particle cryo-EM of ion channels and signal transduction complexes, cryo-ET of sensory cilia, and superresolution fluorescence microscopy. These projects are carried out in collaboration with the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging, headed by Prof. Wah Chiu, one of the leading centers for cryo-EM research worldwide. Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S., with extensive cultural opportunities and affordable housing. Baylor is in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, the world's largest concentration of biomedical research laboratories and institutions providing biomedical training and health care.
