[3dem] technician position at the Goethe University Frankfurt

Dear colleagues,

We are looking for a technician. The position is funded for 3 years with potential extension and is available immediately. The successful candidate will perform electron microscopy sample preparation including vitreous cryo-sectioning and will contribute to the further development of cryo-correlative light and electron imaging. She/he will also be in charge of maintaining Drosophila lines and will do routine cell culture tasks.
Previous experiences with light or electron microscopy (e.g. ultramicrotomy) are desirable, experience with Tokuyasu cryo-sectioning be advantageous. A wide range of training opportunities in advanced electron-microscopy techniques will be provided.
