Dear All,

The UK National Centre for cryo-electron microscopy, eBIC (electron BioImaging Centre), at the Diamond Synchrotron near Oxford wishes to recruit an EM scientist with responsibility for focussed ion beam milling and cellular tomography.

The successful candidate will form part of an outstanding team with in depth experience of running a 3D cryo EM facility, and strong skills in the methods and application of single particle EM, tomography and image processing, as well as analysis and interpretation of EM maps. Part of the mission of the centre is training and outreach, nationally and internationally, to cell and structural biology communities, and cooperation with CCPEM, EMDB and the local X-ray microscopy beam line.

Details of the vacancy, with an application deadline of October 25, 2015, can be found at:

Best wishes,
Helen Saibil, Kay Grunewald and David Stuart
