Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and EMSL, the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory - a national scientific user facility sponsored by the U.S. DOE Office of Biological and Environmental Research, seeks a postdoctoral researcher in the area of high-resolution cryogenic and dynamic transmission electron microscopy for biological applications using single-particle and electron crystallography techniques. Microscopes available at PNNL/EMSL include: 2 FEI Tecnai microscopes, 2 Cs-corrected FEI Titans, 1 Cs-corrected JEOL ARM, 1 Cs-corrected JEOL 2200FS and 1 top-entry liquid helium cooled JEOL 3000SFF. Other instrumentation relevant to the work scope includes direct electron detection systems, high performance computing, in-situ and cryogenic sample holders, Mark III vitrobot and fully equipped wet labs for protein expression, purification and sample preparation.
