The Institute of Physics of the Humboldt-University Berlin is offering a
PostDoc position in the field of TEM/CryoTEM of hybrid Inorganic/Organic
materials:

 

Job offer for PostDoc Position at Humboldt-University Berlin

The offered PostDoc position is for covering both, research and scientific
service in the field of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) within the
CRC951 “Hybrid Inorganic/Organic Systems for Opto-Electronics (HIOS)”. For
structural and chemical characterization of the hybrid structures, TEM
techniques like diffraction contrast imaging, nano-diffraction,
high-resolution TEM, Z contrast imaging, energy dispersive X-ray
spectroscopy, electron energy loss spectroscopy have to be applied. The
candidate should also have expertise in the fields of cryogene TEM and
corresponding preparation by plunge freezing and ultramicrotomy. 

Skills:

PhD in the field Physics, Materials Sciences, Crystallography, or Chemistry;
strong expertise in the field of transmission electron microscopy; mentoring
experience for scientific research; distinct cooperativeness; fluent English
in both, written and spoken.
