Hello Liz,

I agree with your facilities Mgt group and would look at the additional
capacity of the House HVAC chiller water supply. If the house HVAC can
reliably supply water to cool your Chillers, I would go with that water
conserving solution.

Subject: [3dem] Cooling water supply for microscopes

Hello,

We are in the process of renovating and relocating some microscopes
within our EM facility . As part of the process, we are exploring
options concerning the cooling water supply for the microscopes (TEMs
and SEMs). One suggestion from our facilities management group, in
order to decrease water consumption and be more sustainable, is to 'tap
into' the University's chilled water supply and develop a closed loop
system. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Liz
