Dear colleagues,
once more, I'm pleased to share another online training game for
students and newcomers to image processing, with a focus on building
intuition for the 2D discrete Fourier transform:

In */Fourier challenge/*, the goal is to identify the Fourier
coefficients that generate a given target pattern. By placing
coefficients in Fourier space and observing the corresponding real-space
image, players can explore how coefficient position, direction and
frequency affect the images.
The game is intended mainly for students, beginners, and anyone teaching
or learning the basics of Fourier analysis in image processing, cryo-EM,
and related areas (it may also be fun for more experienced users 🙂).
As always, feedback is very welcome. Please feel free to try it, share
it with anyone who might be interested.
Best regards,
Leandro.
PS: This Fourier challenge follows another small training game I shared
a few weeks ago, focused on recognizing cryo-EM/cryo-ET map resolution.
It is available here: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://rico.ibs.fr/helixplorer/resolution/__;!!Mih3wA!BG1n8F5m_kJ4E5wek79OJFWbtxBUnJlJTAWPYvakLblgab2C6qrQyje6Y4Ilwmc-3CfEpRsNo_UE37xlUfmWC-WJP6Pj$
