[3dem] Open-Source Release: RELION 5 Web UI

Following up on our earlier beta announcement, We're making the RELION 5 Web UI available as an open-source project.

The RELION 5 Web UI provides a browser-based interface for RELION workflows, allowing users to submit and monitor jobs, visualize results (2D classes, 3D volumes, FSC curves, particle picks), and manage projects without using the command line. Jobs execute inside Apptainer/Singularity containers, requiring only a supported container runtime on the compute nodes.

The project supports three deployment options:

Local: Single workstation with a native or containerized RELION installation (no Slurm required).
Headless: Slurm cluster without Open OnDemand, deployed as a systemd service behind Nginx using your existing authentication.
Open OnDemand: Integrates directly with existing Open OnDemand deployments.

Each deployment includes a simple installer, detailed documentation, and a manual integration guide.

The recommended reference container is docker://jidaniel/relion:5.0-cuda12.4.1, with Apptainer build instructions included in the documentation.

We welcome feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and pull requests. If you'd like to try the platform but your environment differs from the supported deployments, let us know your requirements. We'd be happy to help with the integration.
