[3dem] [JOBS] Upcoming opportunities at New Cryo-EM Laboratory (Teramo, ITALY)

Dear EMers,

On behalf of Dr. Alessio Lorusso, I am pleased to share that the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” (IZSAM, Teramo, Italy) will soon be recruiting three scientists to join a brand new Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM) Unit currently being established at our institute.

The upcoming openings include:

  *   1 Electron Microscopy (EM) Unit Manager [DEADLINE: 21th February 2026]

  *   2 Electron Microscopy (EM) Specialists  [DEADLINE: 21th February 2026]
(with complementary expertise in single-particle analysis and volume EM)

The new Cryo-EM laboratory will host state-of-the-art instrumentation, including a Titan Krios G4 (upgrade to Titan 5 under negotiation) and a Bio-Hydra DualBeam system, and will operate within a unique research environment that integrates advanced imaging with BSL-3 laboratories for the study of high-risk pathogens, in line with a One Health approach.

These positions offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the scientific, technical and strategic development of a cutting-edge Cryo-EM facility within a highly collaborative, international research institute of the Italian Ministry of Health.
