The Frank lab at Columbia University Medical Center is looking for a highly-motivated intern (both graduate and undergraduate considered) who has a high interest in single-particle analysis and, particularly, time-resolved cryo-EM. For more details about the project, please take a look at our recent papers (“Time resolution in cryo-EM using a PDMS-based microfluidic chip assembly and its application to the study of HflX-mediated ribosome recycling,” Cell, 2024, DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2023.12.027; “A PDMS-based microfluidic chip assembly for time-resolved cryo-EM (TRCEM) sample preparation,” Bio-protocol, 2025, DOI: 10.21769/BioProtoc.5193). You will learn how to design and carry out time-resolved experiments and collect and process TR cryo-EM data.

This will be a three-month paid summer internship, and the deadline for this position is March 31, 2026. Preference will be given to those already familiar with the working methods of standard cryo-EM and are able to commit to the full 3-months period.
