[3dem] Open Cryo-EM Core Scientist Position at VAI

Van Andel Institute (VAI) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a Cryo-EM Core Scientist to join our expanding cryo-EM core facility, featuring a Titan Krios, a Arctica and a new Arctis cryo-PFIB.

The position involves supporting daily operations of Arctis, sample preparation, cryo-FIB milling, and cryo-ET data collection and image processing, as well as developing new workflows and training users.

Requirements: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in structural biology or related field, and 2–5 years of hands-on experience in cryo-EM, cryo-ET and cryo-FIB operation.

Salary: $80–90K commensurate with experience, skills and qualifications.
