[3dem] Applications Now Open – Cryo-EM Training Course, 1–4 Sept 2025 in Leeds

Hi everyone,
We’re excited to announce that applications are now open for the upcoming course “Introduction to Single-Particle Cryo-EM,” taking place 1–4 September 2025 at the Astbury Biostructure Laboratory, University of Leeds.
This course is part of the community-led national cryo-EM training programme funded by Wellcome and the MRC, and is aimed at PhD students and postdocs with little or no prior experience in single-particle cryo-EM.
Over four days, participants will gain a combination of theory and hands-on training, including:

  *   Negative stain and cryo-EM sample preparation (including time-resolved workflows), room temperature TEM
  *   Grid screening and data collection using the Titan Krios microscope
  *   A live demonstration of data processing using RELION
The course is free of charge. Accommodation and meals are provided, and we will reimburse travel expenses up to £250.
