Dear EM-ers,

Michel Goedert and I are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join our
joint work at the MRC-LMB on a fully funded 3-year basis (with a
possible extension of 11 months). Our previous work has revealed that
specific tau folds characterise different neurodegenerative diseases.
Current work is focused on understanding what determines which
structures tau adopts and what effects the different structures have on
the cells in the brain. We would be particularly keen to chat to experts
in cryo-ET, but the project's brief is wide and could also include
cryo-EM on filaments assembled from recombinant protein; from cell
cultures or from mice.

The position closes 4 Jan 2026; applications should be made via the link
below.

I'd be happy to respond to informal enquiries by email.

Best regards,

Sjors
