We are pleased to invite you to our March 2024 Stanford Electron Microscopy-X (EM-X) Symposium on Monday, March 4th, 2024, 8:00-9:30 AM (PST).

Speakers:

Prof. David J. DeRosier, Professor at Brandeis University

Talk Title: Where in the cell is my protein?

Bio: David DeRosier is a Professor Emeritus of Biology at Brandeis University. His current research is in the field of cryo-fluorescence microscopy combined with cryo-electron microscopy and image analysis. He is a fellow of the Biophysical Society, the American Academy of Microbiology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Andrei Khlobystov, Professor at the University of Nottingham

Talk Title: Imaging molecules in action by transmission electron microscopy

Bio: Andrei Khlobystov graduated with an MSc in Chemistry from Moscow State University followed by a PhD from the University of Nottingham and a postdoctoral career at the University of Oxford. Currently, he is a Professor of Nanomaterials at Nottingham developing transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for imaging structures of individual molecules and studying their dynamic behavior in direct space and real time.
