The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is excited to announce a job opening for an Electron Microscopy (EM) Research Support Officer.

The MRC LMB has a dynamic community of electron microscopists who are at the forefront of developing and applying novel cryo-electron microscopy, tomography, and FIB-SEM methods. With a long-standing history of successful hardware and software innovation, the MRC LMB operates an extensive fleet of electron microscopes, a select few of which are dedicated to pioneering technology development and state-of-the-art applications.

The selected candidate will play a key role in the operation, maintenance, and further development of our world-renowned EM Facility. You will provide expert guidance, training and advice in areas covering sample preparation, optimisation, freezing and data acquisition. This permanent staff scientist position offering substantial opportunities for professional growth, particularly in acquiring and mastering advanced techniques in sample preparation and imaging within the field of electron microscopy.
