UNIVERSITY of BASEL
Assistant Professorship in Electron Microscopy
The Biozentrum has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant
Professorship in Electron Microscopy. Applications are invited from
candidates using cryo-electron tomography to study the structure,
function and spatial/temporal dynamics of macromolecular complexes,
supramolecular assemblies or entire organelles ex vivo, and ultimately,
in a cellular context. The successful candidate is expected to develop
a strong research program that will complement the activities already
existing at the Biozentrum in the areas of Structural Biology and
Molecular Cell Biology. A contribution to the teaching at the
Biozentrum, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, is expected.
