Dear All,
Two postdoctoral positions are available in Liu group (https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://liu.med.jhmi.edu__;!!Mih3wA!D55iW0SMp_S5kUndNR4-QtwCYeXugETmSNxRB6GFM85hSN9BhfwfBJSPtNLFnoFjtl0I1nACGNGOnXdvHRf7$ ) at the Johns Hopkins University, a private research and education institute with excellent research environment and advanced research facilities. We study coronavirus-host interactions using a combination of structural biology (cryo-EM and cryo-ET), single-molecule biophysics, protein-nucleic acid biochemistry, and cell biology. We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral applicants with strong expertise in structural biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field. Salary rate follows NIH and JHU guidelines. Start date is relatively flexible.
Qualifications
1) Ph.D. or an equivalent degree in structural biology, virology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field;
2) Extensive experience in basic techniques (molecular cloning, cell culture, protein expression and purification, Western blot, flow cytometry, protein biochemistry, etc.);
3) Prior experience with cryo-EM;
4) Prior experience in RNA biochemistry or cryo-ET is desired;
5) Candidates should be highly motivated, with good oral communication and written skills in English.
