The *international* series of *Brazil Schools for Single Particle Cryo-EM*
started in 2005 and many of the participants and instructors of those
Schools call it the decisive event of their *EM* career. The school is
an *intensive
12-days workshop* aimed at providing a sound theoretical and intuitive
understanding of *Cryo-EM* principles. This school amalgamates theoretical
teaching with practical courses on *your own computer* (to be specified
separately) and maybe even with *your own data set*. The high ratio of 1:2
between instructor/ lecturers and participants, ensures the necessary
attention for the *participants' specific problems*. The processing
methodologies and the software used, are applicable to many sciences
where: *1D;
2D; 3D; *and even* 4D*, data are processed. We are introducing *new
advanced topics* at the cutting edge of *Cryo-EM*. The new *electron-counting
cameras* not only provide excellent results; they also challenge the
very *foundations
of physics*! New insights help resolving the *measurement problem *in
*Classical
Physics* and *Quantum Mechanics*.
