[3dem] IMOD install

Greetings. I know I will be asking which has been answered a million times before, but after I  "lost" (?) drawing tools from 3dmod,  I decided to reinstall IMOD but I am having a nightmare in that after installation, Cygwin can't find mintty.exe, and .bash does not respond to either etomo or 3dmod.

Is it a Java related issue? Not being computer savvy, I am now throwing in the towel and asking for help, please! What have I missed?
