We are looking for an enthusiastic  scientist with experience in single particle cryo-EM  to join our cryo-EM core facility to manage the operations of Glacios2 at Mount Sinai.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai seeks an experienced cryo-electron microscopist to manage the day-to-day operations of a cryo-EM core facility that houses a Thermo Scientific Glacios2, 200kV Cryo-TEM equipped with a Falcon 4i direct electron detector. The primary responsibility will be to assist users in instrument operation and image acquisition. Other responsibilities include microscope maintenance, training users in cryo-EM technology, providing logistical support for daily operations of the facility, and consultation with the users on collected data. Salary commensurate with experience.

The required qualification is a Master’s/PhD degree with experience in cryo-EM, including in the maintenance and alignment of electron microscopes. Additional experience of working in a Linux/UNIX computing environment and familiarity with cryo-EM software and its implementation will be an advantage. Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with the facility users.
