[3dem] 3dem Digest, Vol 206, Issue 27

Dear Liguo,

I believe you're referring to the gas cooling tank. If the microscope is
used frequently, emptying the tank daily is unnecessary and wasteful. We
typically refill it daily instead.

If emptying is essential in your lab, maybe consider a Polara-style setup:
a long tube to the bottom, a lid that could seal the tank, and a heater.

Best,
Qiang

Dear 3DEM community,

We?ve been using the Aquilos 2 cryo-FIB and encountered a challenge with
the LN2 tank. After daily use, a significant amount of LN2 remains, and
we need to empty the tank and dry it using N2 gas. However, pouring the
LN2 out of the tank is quite difficult and could potentially damage the
plastic ring/cap.

Does anyone have a better solution for safely and efficiently handling this?

Thank you in advance for your help.
