The project is to work with a combination of different electron microscopy techniques to study sperm tails, both from a cellular and a structural perspective. My research group is in the division for Biochemistry and Structural biology, one of the strongest structural biology environments in Sweden, but we also have close ties with the division of Molecular and Cellular biology. PhD students in Sweden are fully employed with all the worker’s rights that entails here. I am looking for someone self-motivated, with a passion for microscopy and science. Experience in electron microscopy or ciliary research is of course beneficial but not necessary.
