[3dem] Shipping Cryo-lift-out lamellas

Dear List-members,

Does someone have experience in sending cryo-lift-out lamellas in a dry shipper abroad?
We have tried sending cryo-lift-out lamellas on a rectangular mesh receiver grid from ISTA, Austria, to the Weizmann Institute, Israel.
We stuffed the dry shipper with paper towels, so that the sample (inside a stuffed falcon) doesn’t fly around in there.
However, the lamellas looked crooked, curled up, and dry (see images attached).
The shipping itself was very fast (it arrived on the next day (Day 1)), where I topped up the LN. On Day 2, the samples were transferred to the storage system at WIS.

Maybe they got devitrified during the transfer of the sample to and from the dry shipper, even though we tried our best to avoid that.

If anyone has some experience with shipping samples like this, we would be happy to get some additional ideas.
