The candidate should be a motivated and highly interactive individual and will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal users and external researchers on a diverse set of cryo-EM-focused research projects led by world-leading investigators in cancer biology, DNA repair, immunity, ubiquitin signaling, enzymology, and drug discovery.

Preferred qualifications:
· Must have the ability to share management responsibilities for a multi-user research facility
· Must have demonstrated expertise with data collection and processing software for single particle analysis, including Relion and Cryosparc
· Previous experience with cryo-transmission electron microscope alignments and maintenance, as well as maintenance of accessory equipment is preferred
· Previous experience training students and staff in the operation of cryo-transmission electron microscopes and downstream data processing/analysis is preferred
· Strong communication and organization skills to enable timely communication with faculty, students, staff, vendors, and service engineers, accurate and clear record keeping, and active participation in the planning and writing of manuscripts and center-related grant proposals as needed
· Scholarship to keep abreast of scientific literature concerning relevant new instrumentation, data processing, specimen preparation and imaging techniques.

This position provides attractive salary (commensurate with experience and qualifications) and generous benefits.
