The goal of the project is to determine the structural basis for cell death using cryo-electron microscopy, biochemical and biophysical techniques. Uppsala university has excellent facilities for grid screening and enjoys access to the SciLifeLab and KI cryo-EM facilities housing 3 Krioses with energy filters, CLEM and FIB-SEM at the Solna campus 45 min away. The successful candidate has a PhD in structural biology or biochemistry (or similar) and extensive experience in cryo-EM/cryo-ET. Experience working with mammalian culture is a plus.
