The CBI / IGBMC is seeking an experienced cryo-EM scientist to participate in running the cutting-edge EM facilities at the Centre for Integrative Biology (CBI) at IGBMC, Illkirch/Strasbourg, France.

The advanced cryo-EM facility comprises cutting-edge instrumentation such as two Titan Krios cryo electron microscopes and a Glacios cryo electron microscopes for cryo-EM and tomography, cryo Focused Ion Beam Scanning Electron Microscope (cryo-FIB/SEM) including for cryo FIB milling / lamella production, and super-resolution imaging (dSTORM).
The Titan Krios 1 microscope is equipped with K3 & Falcon 3 cameras and GIF energy filter, Volta phase plate (VPP) and Cs corrector,
the Titan Krios 2 microscope has a Falcon 4i camera, Selectris X energy filter, Volta phase plate (VPP),
the Glacios microscope has a K2 camera and a Ceta-D camera for micro electron diffraction (μED).
In addition, the EM facility has a suite of associated equipments for sample preparation (grid freezing with Vitrobot and new Chameleon high-speed freezing device, HPF etc.) and dedicated computing resources for image analysis, processing and 3D reconstruction by single particle cryo-EM (including on-the-fly data processing), cryo electron tomography (cryo-ET) and fluorescence microscopy, and a dedicated opto-meca micromechanics workshop for developing and prototyping new instruments.
