Hi David,
I believe we used to do this at UCSF simply by putting a small watch glass
with a small amount of the compound inside the bell jar. (The 2nd, older
discharger therefore has the message "DO NOT PUT ANY CHEMICALS INSIDE" on
the device).

A literature search for easiglow and amylamine led to a number of papers
that all refer to "discharging in the presence of amylamine" or similar

of Electron Microscopy Biological Applications, page 237-241 (which I do
not have access to) as a reference for using amylamine.
