Hi,

We are attempting to replicate a freezing protocol from another lab that calls for 80% relative humidity during the freezing. Until a few months ago, our Vitrobot Mark IV had no trouble accurately maintaining that level for long periods. However, it can no longer accurately maintain intermediate levels of humidity. We are not certain of what happened to cause this and have reached out several times to ThermoFisher service.

Service is currently saying that the Vitrobot was never designed to keep humidity at less than 100% and that we should do things like open and close the door and/or the side vents or put a damp sponge inside the chamber and turn off the humidifier if we want intermediate levels.

Please let me know if you have had success with intermediate humidity levels, and if you aren't sure but have a moment, please try this on your own device and let me know the results.

Thanks.
