Dear Colleagues,
a PhD position is available in the Roderer lab at the Leibniz Research Institute of Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) in Berlin, Germany. The PhD will apply cryo-EM/SPA and integrated structural biology to elucidate the structural basis of substrate recognition and proteolysis of intramembrane proteases. We are looking for ambitious, highly motivated, and talented graduate students who are enthusiastic to perform research in a vibrant scientific environment. The applicants should be meticulous in their work, team players, and have the wish to excel in science. A master degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics, Chemistry or a related subject with excellent grades is required. Experience in structural biology (cryo-EM and single particle analysis or cryo-ET), scripting in Python, or protein biochemistry is advantageous.
