Scientist Computational Structural Biology

Sanofi's Large Molecule Research department has an exciting opportunity for a structural biologist/computational scientist to contribute to pharmaceutical research. The scientist will help expand the successful cryo-EM unit in our structural biology group. The candidate will be responsible both for structural biology project support and to assist in creation of an AI/ML enabled structure solving pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  *   Effectively communicate with internal and external teams around coordinated use of structural biology to accelerate drug discovery.
  *   Analyze data to assess project impact and share findings with global multidisciplinary teams
  *   Interface with the digital organization to create and continuously improve our cryo-EM pipeline.
  *   Identify, analyze, and internalize relevant software packages notably those involving AI/ML/DL.
  *   Find and propose solutions to computational problems.
  *   Provide and promote support for operational excellence according to Sanofi values and ethics.

Basic Qualifications

  *   PhD in protein biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, or related discipline. Candidates with only MSc degree and with an appropriate experience will be considered.
  *   Cryo- EM/ET data processing and model building.
  *   Demonstrated computational experience which includes proficiency with Python and Linux scripting.
  *   Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
  *   Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  *   Experience with AI/ML/DL software.
  *   Experience with cloud-based architecture for cryo-EM.
