I advertised the Biophysics of the Brain conference a few months ago.


Given the developing covid situation we have switch to online mode


The conference will take place on 2 and 3 March 2022.


Registration is now free!

and the registration deadline has been extended to 13 February.

We are happy to announce the Biophysics of the Brain Conference, which will take place from 27.2.2022 - 4.3.2022 on the shores of Lake Maggiore, in Ascona, Switzerland.


The Biophysics of the Brain conference will bring together biophysicists and neuroscientists to discuss concepts underlying brain function such as membrane biophysics, diffusion of synaptic vesicles, ions, and neurotransmitters, protein aggregation, and structural basis of the function of neurotransmitter receptors and ion channels. The conference will put a strong emphasis on emerging technologies with applications in brain research such as high resolution electron and light microscopy, mass spectrometry imaging, and high-density electrophysiology.
Plenty of time will be allocated for informal discussions and interactions, in order to foster synergistic and interdisciplinary collaboration.
