I sent an announcement on 21 April, and this is my last one.
I am now starting to handle applications to the 3DEM GRC meeting that will be held 31 October to 5 November 2021, in Maine. The GRS will be held 30-31 October at the same location:

Despite some very sad travel restrictions for some of our colleagues around the world, I see we already have many more applications than places available. To make it worse, due to Covid rules, we can only have 150 participants rather than our usual 200.  We may be able to increase to 200 as we get closer to the date but we have no assurances.

Some very important points!

1.       Preference will be for people presenting posters.

2.       In order to have diverse representation of our community, please understand that there will need to be limits put on the number of people accepted from a specific group.

3.       If you are a student or postdoc or staff member of a research group, PLEASE INDICATE who is the PI of your group.

4.       Please be patient. The acceptance process will take some time and there will be a waiting list.

5.       If you applied and do not hear from me by the end of May, and IF YOU WILL NEED TO APPLY FOR A VISA to get into the USA, please let me know and I will consider such applications quickly. It can take time to get a visa.

Important information that I posted in my last announcement:

If you were accepted to the cancelled 2020 meeting, you will need to apply again. All data regarding that meeting has been removed and we are starting from scratch.

The GRS (for early-stage researchers) has a separate application process. Please go to that site to apply there. Acceptance the the GRS does not guarantee acceptance to the GRC, or vice-versa. They are separate processes.

Special Covid-related information from the GRC:

"To ensure the health and safety of all of our communities, social distancing adjustments will be made at all of our venues to ensure compliance and best practices as followed.
