The goal of the project is to study the epithelial endomembrane system during cell ageing by correlative light and cryo electron tomography. This work is part of a multi-disciplinary and cross-institutional research grant involving basic and applied scientists across Singapore. The Ludwig lab is located at the NTU Institute of Structural Biology (NISB), which provides a vibrant research environment and access to state-of-the-art equipment for correlative cryoEM, including a cryo confocal microscope (CorrSight), a cryoFIB-SEM (Aquilos2), and two high-end TEMs (Titan Krios and Arctica) equipped with direct electron detectors, Volta phase plate, and energy filter.
