Description
Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP) in La Jolla, California invites applications for a faculty position in the area of cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) that will complement existing strengths in biomedical research, including cancer, immunology, infectious diseases and neuroscience, as well as drug discovery.

Candidates are expected to be senior investigator with a Ph.D. degree who currently hold a position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor.   In addition, candidates are expected to have a proven record of research accomplishments and track record of NIH-based funding. Successful candidates are expected to establish a vigorous and independent, externally funded, research program that takes advantage of the resources available in the SBP Cryo-EM Laboratory.

The Cryo-EM Laboratory houses a Titan Krios high-resolution electron cryomicroscope, a Tecnai 12 Spirit G2 screening cryomicroscope, and computational resources for data analysis. Additional resources for structural biology at SBP include NMR, x-ray crystallography and biomolecular analysis.

Required Experience
Ph.D degree required.
Preferred candidates will currently hold a position at the level of Associate Professor or Professor.
